For my test, I installed the drivers and the software uses standard Windows approach; namely, I attached the network cable and ran the installation program automatically from the disc. It's worth mentioning, however, that the drivers for all versions of Windows (but not a Mac) is also stored in the printer. This gives you the option for Windows to connect with a USB cable and install the driver from the printer itself, though you still need to install the OCR software from disk.</div>
